The responsibility of education in the 21st century is replete with great challenges. We have to train the tender mind so that it turns in to a resourceful and sensitive citizen of the society in the future. Besides imparting the knowledge, the skill and the habits of concentration, we also have to form character, to create taste and cultivate the imagination. We can’t confine ourselves to any one area of knowledge. We have to adopt a holistic approach to education. Effort should be made to make the education and training an interesting process having some relation with tradition, environment and requirement of the time. Care should also be taken to see that the process of educational training at school level should not be dull and drab. There should not be any strained seriousness on the face of the young learners.
